Intro

Podcasts are a great tool to engage with your audience in a very engaging and human way.

Other people’s podcasts are even better for putting yourself and your business in front of new audiences. Getting featured as a guest on someone else’s podcast gives you a much greater opportunity to present yourself than most other collaboration types.

Besides, podcasts make for highly reusable and shareable content.

Respona’s search engine makes finding other people’s podcasts very simple.

Discovery

  1. Select “Podcasts” from the menu on the left side of the search bar.

  2. Type in the keyword of the topic your podcasts should be about and select either “shows” or “episodes”.

    The “shows” search is suited for finding shows talking about a general topic. “Episodes”, on the other hand, are better for finding episodes centered around a more niche-specific topic (which also makes personalization easier further on).

  3. To select a podcast for your campaign, tick the box to the left of its title.

    You can also search for specific influencers/thought leaders within your niche to identify which podcasts they have been on and try to get on them as well.

  4. Select “podcasts” > “episodes”

  5. Type in your influencer’s name.

  6. To select a podcast for your campaign, tick the box to the left of its title.

Note: all podcasts come with pre-assigned contact information, so there is no need to do manual prospecting.

You can also use the podcast search automation to speed up the process.

Like the other search automation, you can access it at Step 1 - Find Content by clicking to “Automation setup”, and then “Podacst search”.

The information about podcasts is provided to us by Listen Notes.

Here are the steps for using the automation:

1. Select the search source: podcasts or episodes.

2. Enter your keyword.

3. Set advanced settings:

  • How many search results to analyze;

  • Search location and language;

  • Safety filters.

4. Click “Continue”.

5. You will be taken to the metrics screen. Depending on whether you chose to look for podcasts or episodes, you will get access to different filters.

Podcast filters:

  • Total episodes;

  • Date of last episode;

  • Sort by relevance/date;

  • Listen score.

Episodes filters:

  • Episode duration;

  • When was the episode published;

  • Sort by relevance/date;

  • Listen score.

6. Once the desired filters are set, hit “Run automation”.

Once the automation is finished, its results will be added to your campaign.
