Intro

Resource page link building is a very common and easy to perform strategy used by the majority of link builders.

It is the process of finding resource pages, contacting their owners and asking your link to be inserted into them.

It has a significant advantage over some other link building strategies: it targets pages whose sole purpose is to link to other resources. And by submitting your resource to them, you’re helping them achieve that goal.

It’s relatively easy, effective, and scalable.

Discovery

  1. Type in your query using advanced search operators. Resource pages typically contain the word “resources” or “links” in the URL. Some useful operators for this are:

    1. inurl:resources or inurl:links

Note: You will need to use the Web Search source as it is the only source that supports the full use of the advanced search operators.

  2. So, to find resource pages in the link building industry, for example, the query would look like this:

    1. inurl:resources intitle:"link building"

  3. Click on a page and check if it includes links to other resources. If it does, select it for your campaign by ticking the box to the left of the opportunity’s title

  4. Experiment with your search query to get more, different results. Some variations you might try are:

    1. inurl:.com/resources

    2. inurl:.org/resources

    3. inurl:.com/links

    4. inurl:.org/links

You may also try different, more niche specific topics instead of the general intitle:’link building’.

  5. Keep experimenting and selecting opportunities until you’re either satisfied with their number or out of opportunities.
