How to connect your SendGrid email to Respona?

In this article, we'll be walking through the steps of connecting a SendGrid email to Respona.

You can connect your Sendgrid account to Respona using IMAP/SMTP.

Please follow this process:

In SendGrid:

  • On the Email API tab, select Integration Guide and then the SMTP Relay option.

  • Create an API key for sending emails by clicking the Create Key button.

  • Copy the generated key (you will need it to configure the integration in Respona).

In Respona:

  • In your Respona account, navigate to the Email Accounts tab of the Account menu.

  • Click the + Add email and select Other providers.

  • In the Sender Email field, enter the email you have connected to SendGrid.

  • In the Sender Name field, enter your full name.

  • SMTP settings:

  • Set the SMTP Username to apikey as a standard user name (please enter the text "apikey" and not the actual API key you copied).

  • In the Password field, enter the password you copied earlier in your SendGrid account.

  • In the SMTP Host field, enter smtp.sendgrid.net

  • In the SMTP Port field, enter 465 (or 25)

  • IMAP settings: In the IMAP Username field, enter the email address you want to use to receive replies.

  • Create an app password in your Gmail account, and enter the app password in the Password field.

  • In the IMAP Host field, enter the address of the IMAP server (imap.gmail.com for Gmail accounts).

  • In the IMAP Port field, enter the port of the IMAP server (993 for Gmail accounts).
